Influenced by her mother and grandmother, who were also involved in education, Ms. Lamb initially earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in East Lansing in 1954. She followed this accomplishment with a Master of Arts from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo in 1960. Motivated by kindness and well-equipped for her occupational endeavors, Ms. Lamb is certified in secondary education.
Beginning her career in the Kalamazoo Public Schools, Ms. Lamb moved on to the Niles Public Schools and then finally to the Caledonia Community Schools, where she served as both classroom teacher and counselor. She represented Caledonia on the steering committee for the Kent Career Tech Center. Demonstrating excellence in her work teaching advanced placement classes and sponsoring the National Honor Society, Ms. Lamb is a member of the National Education Association, the Michigan Education Association and the Kent Area Retired Teachers Association.
In addition to her primary professional accomplishments, Ms. Lamb is the former director and president of the Rockford Theater. She has also been involved with the North Kent Service Center, the Krause Memorial Library and the Rockford Area Museum. Demonstrating a versatile skill set, Ms. Lamb was a Caledonia representative at the steering committee for the development of the Kent Career Technical Center.
