For nearly 40 years, Ms. Tello has flourished as a tax strategist, practitioner, and writer. An Enrolled Agent, she completed primary and advanced requirements, and continues annual education in the field of taxation. While pursuing studies in the tax field, in 1981 she created a bookkeeping business, All Around Bookkeeping, ending this soon after she created the sole proprietorship "Tax Savers" in 1982. Tax Savers was incorporated on Valentine's Day in the year 2000, as American Tax Savers, Inc. She is the President of the corporation.
An active member of her community, Ms. Tello served as a Libertarian Party candidate for the California State Assembly 79th District Election in 1984, as well as the California State Assembly 75th District Election in 1998, the California 37th State Senate Election in 1996, and the California 37th State Senate Election in 2000. Additionally, she ran during the California State Controller Election in 2006. A published author, her written works include, "A History of the American Income Tax: The Pulse of the Nation."
In service to her profession, Ms. Tello served the California Society of Tax Consultants as Society President, and as Secretary, in addition to serving the San Diego chapter board as an officer, including Chapter President. She served the Society and the local board for ten years. Further, she served as Society's legislative representative for four years, appearing and speaking before committees of the California State Assembly and the California State Senate. Additionally, she served as a vice president of the Liberty Chapter of Toastmasters, co-founded the not for profit entity Camelopard and served as an officer on that board, served on the board of the San Diego chapter of MENSA, and was a member of International MENSA for ten years. In light of her exceptional undertakings, she was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Outside of work, she enjoys power lifting.
