Prior to joining this firm, he worked as a partner with Kavanagh, Scully, Sudow, White, and Frederick, PC, from 1981 to 1990. Mr. Howard began his career as an associate with Kavanagh, Scully, Sudow, White, and Frederick, PC, from 1976 to 1980.
Mr. Howard pursued his education at Princeton University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1972. He continued his studies with the University of Notre Dame, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1976. He has been admitted to practice law in the states of Illinois and Michigan, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern Northern, and Central Districts of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
A respected voice in his areas of practice, Mr. Howard has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Peoria County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Peoria Notre Dame Club. A ten-year member and former vice chair of the Peoria County Board, Mr. Howard was an alternate delegate in 1984 to the Democratic National Convention, and for 12 years the President and Trustee of the Greater Peoria Sanitary District.
Throughout his career, Mr. Howard has been celebrated for his contributions to the field of law. He has been featured in numerous publications, including Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. Mr. Howard remains active with the W. D. Boyce Council, Boy Scouts of America, the League of Woman Voters, the St. Patrick Society of Peoria, and the Peoria Area World Affairs Council.
