With a career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Wolf retired in 2011 as a professor emeritus of human development and gerontology with the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT. She began her career as a professor of gerontology with the University of St. Joseph in 1983, and during her tenure, also served as a book review editor of the Educational Gerontology journal. In addition to her primary career responsibilities, Dr. Wolf has edited and authored a number of books, contributed 60 articles to professional journals and given 112 research presentations on topics in her field.
Prior to embarking on her career, Dr. Wolf earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 1962. Following this accomplishment, she earned a degree in language and education from the University of Paris, now fragmented into a number of universities, in 1963 and a Master of Arts from Columbia University in New York City in 1967. In 1982, Dr. Wolf concluded her education with a Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
A fellow of the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education and the Gerontology Society of America, Dr. Wolf has remained affiliated with a number of professional organizations since retirement. For excellence in her career, Dr. Wolf has been named to the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame and presented with the Honorary Citation Award from the Department of Elderly Services of the state of Connecticut. She has also been awarded an Official Citation from the state of Connecticut and a Distinguished Service Award from the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education. In light of all her accomplishments, Dr. Wolf was previously selected for inclusion in the 65th edition of Who's Who in America.
