With nearly 60 years of professional experience to her credit, Dr. Shrawder has excelled as the president and thr chief executive officer of Shrawder and Associates since 1990. In addition to her primary roles, she served as the owner and an instructor with Pacific Academy School and an associate professor at Mira Costa College. Prior to establishing her own firm, she worked as the vice president of operations at Molecular Biosystems from 1984 to 1990 and a project manager of infectious diseases at Abbott Laboratories from 1977 to 1984. Dr. Shrawder began her career as an associate director of research at Becton Dickinson's Clay Adams Division from 1972 to 1977 and a research scientist with the Ames Division of Miles Laboratories from 1960 to 1972.
Dr. Shrawder initially pursued an education at Thiel College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1960. She continued her studies at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a Master of Science in 1966. She concluded her academic efforts at the University of Notre Dame in 1970, earning a Doctor of Philosophy. Moreover, Dr. Shrawder holds a certificate of clearance from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing of the state of California.
A respected voice in her areas of interest, Dr. Shrawder has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemists, the American Association for Quality Control, and the American Chemical Society. Dr. Shrawder has also been active with the California Science Teachers Association and Sigma Delta Epsilon.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shrawder has been celebrated for her contributions in the field. The recipient of the Presidential Award from Abbott Labs, she was presented with the Outstanding Alumnus Award from Thiel College, and the YMCA recognized her with the Outstanding Young Women Award and the Tribute to Women and Industry Award. Dr. Shrawder has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who of American Women.
