Since 2008, Mr. Mohn has found success as a library media specialist at Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, Washington. With a vast amount of experience in different fields of work, he began his career as an instructor of photography at Walla Walla Community College in 1978. Soon thereafter, he worked as a production laboratory assistant, a graduate assistant, and a production laboratory coordinator for Western Oregon State College in Monmouth, from 1979 to 1981. After contributing as a library media specialist at Lake Oswego Junior High School and a library instructor at Portland State University for eight years, Mr. Mohn was hired by Indiana University in 1990.
During his time with the aforementioned institution, Mr. Mohn held the roles of a teaching consultant, a consultant, a member of the school's Restructuring Support Services, and an adjunct faculty member of microcomputers in libraries prior to his departure in 1993. He was briefly associated with the University of Iowa as an assistant professor of library automation and reference services, before accepting a position at Totem Falls Elementary School in Snohomish, as a library media specialist in 1994. Subsequently, he contributed as an adjunct instructor of library automation with the University of Washington during the fall of 1995. Between 1999 and 2008, Mr. Mohn was active with the Snohomish Freshman Campus as a library media specialist.
Other career-related endeavors to Mr. Mohn's credit include his involvement as a school assessment coordinator with Glacier Peak High School, a library grant writer for the Snohomish Freshman Campus, and the building computer technician for Totem Falls Elementary School, among other responsibilities. He is additionally credited with developing outstanding student workshops and interactive learning activities for Glacier Peak High School, the Snohomish School District, and Lake Oswego School District. For his hard work and the implementation of these positive efforts, Mr. Mohn helped both Glacier Peak High School and Lake Oswego Junior High School achieve statewide and nationwide recognition for their overall excellence and distinction.
A holder of multiple educational degrees and certifications, Mr. Mohn earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and dramatic art from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington in 1977. He later enrolled at Western Oregon University in 1981, where he graduated with a Master of Science in educational media. After obtaining a standard teaching certificate from Portland State University in Oregon, during 1987, Mr. Mohn completed postgraduate coursework at Indiana University in 1990.

He is also a member of the National Education Association, the Washington Education Association, and the Snohomish Education Association. Outside of primary efforts, Mr. Mohn enjoys photography, theater, hiking, computers, and volunteering as a track and field coach and judge in his spare time.
