A native of Milyang, South Korea, Dr. Bae has flourished as a dentist and researcher for more than 20 years. Inspired by his desire is to develop good dental health products, he made the decision to pursue a formal education in the field of dentistry. A graduate of Seoul National University in South Korea, he earned a Doctor of Dental Science in 1997. During this time, he also received a dental license from the Ministry of Health and Welfare in South Korea. Three years later, Dr. Bae secured a Master of Dental Science from Seoul National University, further concluding his academic pursuits with a Doctor of Philosophy in dentistry from the institution in 2005.
Dr. Bae began his career as a teaching assistant at Seoul National University in 1997, later accepting the position of a full time lecturer at Pusan National University in South Korea from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, he returned to Seoul National University where he served as an assistant professor for the Department of Preventive and Public Health Dentistry, later progressing to an associate professor between 2006 and 2015. Today, he holds the title of chief executive officer and associate director of the Docsmedi Co. Ltd. and Apple Tree Dental Hospital.
Utilizing his expertise in preventive and public health dentistry, Dr. Bae has written a number of related works that were submitted to professional journals. Published articles to his credit include: "A Comparison of Oral Health Related Quality of Life Between Complete and Partial Removable Denture-Wearing Older Adult in Korea," "Periodontitis and Obesity: A Study of the Fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey" and "Is Yogurt Intake Associated With Periodontitis Due To Calcium?" among others. In a career filled with achievements, Dr. Bae is proud to have received a number of grants from several organizations such as the National Research Foundation of Korea, the Management Center for Health Promotion and the Bukwang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. These grants were used to conduct research on a number of topics concerning periodontal diseases, oral health and physico-chemical properties of food.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Bae received the commendation from the Minster of Health and Welfare in South Korea during 2010. Likewise, he was selected for inclusion in numerous editions of Who's Who in Asia, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the World. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming and reading in his spare time.
