He began his career path as an associate at Conklin & Adler from 1891 to 1982 and an associate at Hofeld & Schaffner from 1982 to 1986. Mr. Ford has contributed a number of articles to professional journals. Civically, he sat on the advisory committee of the Hammond Education Foundation.
Prior to becoming an esteemed lawyer, Mr. Ford pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and anthropology from Kalamazoo College in 1978. He earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University in 1981 and was permitted to practice law by the Illinois Bar of Admissions to the Bar in 1981. Mr. Ford was mentored by Howard Schaffner, a Chicago lawyer who gave him advice as a young lawyer. He is an expert in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and product liability law.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Ford remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He is the proud father of three children and husband of Linda Jean Horsley.

In light of his many accomplishments in the field, he has received a number of awards and accolades throughout his career. Mr. Ford was named Chicago Litigation Lawyer of the Year by U.S. News & World Report in 2014. He has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in American Law.
