For more than six decades Mr. Salt has excelled as a priest after being ordained to ministry at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Quebec City, Canada, as a deacon in 1951, and as a priest at St. George's Church in Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada in 1952. From 1952 to 1954, while completing his theological degree, he was priest-in-charge of St. Phillips Church in Sawyerville, Quebec, Canada. From 1954 to 1993, Mr. Salt was rector of Christ Church in Stanstead, Quebec, followed by St. Michael's Church in Sillery, Quebec, and then All Saints Church in Millington, New Jersey. After retiring officially he became an honorary assistant at Grace Episcopal Church in Port Huron, Michigan and St. John's Episcopal Church in Naples, Florida, as well as St. Mary's Church in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Other professional endeavors to his credit include contributing as an honorary canon with the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Quebec, a chaplain for the Diocese of Quebec and the president of the Morris Convocation, as well as the director and vice president of the Victorious Ministry Through Christ. Civically, he has been involved with the Superior Council Education in Quebec, the Passaic County Welfare Board, and the Quebec Protestant School Board. Additionally, he completed service with the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Navy between 1944 and 1946. An expert in the field, Mr. Salt has contributed articles to religious journals and authored "Compass Book on Healing," which was published in 1996.
A graduate of Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec, Mr. Salt earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in 1949. A short time later, he secured a Master of Arts in history in 1951 and a Bachelor of Divinity in 1960 from the aforementioned university. He continued his academic pursuits, completing the advanced graduate management program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1970. Concluding his studies at the Graduate Theological Foundation, Mr. Salt obtained a Doctor of Ministry in 1988.
