With 35 years of experience in law to his credit, Mr. Webster has become an authority in his industry. He began his career in litigation as an associate at Halloran, Sage in Hartford in 1982. In 1986, he accepted a position as an assistant attorney general in Connecticut where he prosecuted child-protection cases and counseled on complex medical-legal issues. After 31 years with the Attorney General's Office, he retired in 2017.
Mr. Webster was a lecturer in law at the University of Connecticut School of Law from 1992 to 2002 and an Adjunct Professor of law from 2002 to 2012. He served as a faculty member, program chair and curriculum developer for the Connecticut bar Association's continuing legal education seminars from 1986 to 2002. He was a frequent guest on numerous radio and television programs.
rior to becoming an esteemed law professional, Mr. Webster pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Bradley University in 1978 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University in 1982. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Connecticut in 1982 and before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1983. Mr. Webster authored "Child Protection in Connecticut Courts" in 1992 and "The Art of the Deal: A Common Sense Approach to Settlement of Child Protection Cases" in 1996, and "For the Sale of a Child's Safety" in 1997.
Apart from his career, Mr. Webster volunteered in his field and community. He was active as the president of the Middletown Branch of the American Heart Association from 1989 to 1990 and a member of the steering committee of the March of Dimes from 1988 to 1990. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Webster remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. He served as the chairman of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Committee on Juvenile Justice from 1983 to 1988. Mr. Webster presently serves as the president of the Cromwell Hillside Cemetery Association and as a member of the board of directors of True Colors, Inc.
Notably, Mr. Webster served two terms as the student body president of Bradley University from 1977 to 1978. In light of his many achievements in the field, he has received a number of accolades throughout his career. Mr. Webster was named a Nyaradi Memorial Fellow from the Bradley University Institute of International Studies in 1978, a law fellow from Georgetown University in 1981, and a Beaudry Cup Fellow in 1982. Likewise, he received the Order of Lincoln from the State of Illinois in 1978. He is proud to have taught students who went on to become judges and lawyers. Mr. Webster has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
