Throughout his career, Dr. Banerjee has contributed his research to a plethora of articles in professional journals and authored "Parallel Algorithms for VLSI Computed-Aided Design."
Before embarking upon his professional path, Dr. Banerjee graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Subsequently, he obtained a Master of Science in electrical engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois. Participating on the board of directors of Cray, Inc. and Cubic Systems, Dr. Banerjee maintains his professional alignment with the IEEE, the ACM and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Dr. Banerjee has been celebrated on many occasions for his efforts in engineering and education. In addition to earning the Taylor L. Booth Education Award from the IEEE and the Frederick Emmons Terman Award from the ASEE, he accepted the Presidential Young Investigators Award from the National Science Foundation in 1987, the Young Faculty Development Award from IBM in 1986 and the Top 100 Business Leaders Award through Fast Company. Moreover, Dr. Banerjee was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Corporate America.
