Jo Ann Ward is best known as a lifelong major events producer, image maker, tourism leader, humanitarian and contributor. She found success first as Publicity and Special Events Director of Chicago's Carson Pirie Scott & Co. During this time period she was best known for first introducing Breakfast with Santa and her coordination of many major events such as La Bella Italia, British Fortnight, Vive la France, Spotlight on Scandinavia and an award winning decade of Mayor Daley City-wide Fortnights. These involved diplomats, designers, culture, cuisine, music, special guests and even a French destroyer for the opening of Vive la France. During that time, she served as the National Chairman of the AMC Special Event Directors and worked with many Chicago boards and charities.
Ms. Ward was inducted into the International Festival and Events Hall of Fame in a ceremony in 1997. She served as their convention speaker from London to Anchorage as well as a member of their Board of Directors.

Best known for Walleye Weekend Civic Celebration, Lakeside Winter Celebration, Fond du Lac Festivals, Fall Flyway, Wisconsin Jazz Festival, Fondue in Fond du Lac, Tourism Night/ Taste of Fond du Lac, Miracle Mile and World Capital of Aerobatics. She served in many state tourism leadership positions such as a founder and President of the Wisconsin Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, President of East Wisconsin Waters and was appointed to Governor's Sesquicentennial Commission. Civic and community involvement was foremost. As a 23-year Rotarian she received the Paul Harris Award.
Humanitarian contributions continued with the transition to Naples in 2000. Naples Philharmonic League Board of Directors, Latchkey League Board of Directors, Spirit of America Foundation Board, Pelican Bay Women's League Ambassador, Shelter for Abused Women Guild, Gulfshore Playhouse Partner, Greater Naples Panhellenic League and Naples Press Club are among those receiving her support.
Ms. Ward graduated from the University of Wisconsin with many years of continuing education. She has a daughter Cynthia Ward Cusack, son-in-law Darwin and grandchildren Katharine and Jack Cusack residing in New Hampshire.
