Celebrating more than 30 years in academia, Dr. Lienard-Yeterian is currently a Full Professor of American literature and cinema at the University of Côte d'Azur (formerly University of Nice) in France. She originally worked as a teaching assistant in the U.S. at Hiram College and since taught at several U.S. colleges, including at her alma maters, Case Western Reserve University and Cornell University, and Bard College, before returning to her native France in 1997. Dr. Lienard-Yeterian subsequently worked as an assistant professor at the American Institute in Aix-en-Provence and at the École Polytechnique in Paris. In 2012 she became a faculty member at the University of Nice. She has also lectured in Switzerland at the UNIL AND EPFL in Lausanne.
Dr. Lienard-Yeterian has published three academic books through Michel Houdiard Editions and Ecole Polytechnique Editions between 2010 and 2012. Moreover, she released a collection of short stories through PubliBooks Editions in Fall 2018. A prolific author, Dr. Lienard-Yeterian has contributed articles to several academic journals and currently maintains her own blog, Cloud and Chimera, for which she posts critiques, poetry, and lectures on various literary topics.
She was a member of the Fulbright Jury selection and worked with the Commission Franco-Américaine in Paris for many years to promote education and French-American exchange programs and networks.
Dr. Lienard-Yeterian got a License (BA) in English at University of Clermont II in France before receiving a Master of Arts in comparative literature at Case Western Reserve University in 1991. She then acquired a Doctor of Philosophy in American and French Literature at Cornell University in 1996. She later completed a Master of Arts in French as a foreign language at the University of Paris VIII in 2001. She holds an HDR (habilitation à diriger les recherches) from University of Paris Ouest-Nanterre.
Dr. Lienard-Yeterian received a Sage fellowship through Cornell University between 1991 and 1995 and a Fulbright fellowship during 2001. She also received a scholarship through the International Peace Scholarship Foundation between 1992 and 1994. She also received the Albert Einstein Award of Excellence in 2011 and the Woman of the Year Award in 2012. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Lienard-Yeterian has been showcased in the 24th, 26th and 27th editions of Who's Who in the World.
