A native of the Ukraine, Dr. Vulakh has excelled as an educator for 50 years. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he pursued a formal education at the Moscow Aviation Institute, earning a Master of Science in control science in 1963. Subsequently, Dr. Vulakh concluded his studies at Moscow State University, obtaining a Master of Art in mathematics in 1965, and a Doctor of Philosophy in mathematics in 1971.
Dr. Vulakh began his career with Moscow Technological University as an assistant professor in 1969. He further progressed to the post of an associate professor with the aforementioned institution until his departure in 1987. During this time, Dr. Vulakh was involved with the All-Union Research Radio-Engineering Institute in Moscow as a senior researcher and a manager between 1969 and 1979.
Soon thereafter, Dr. Vulakh briefly worked for Brooklyn College between 1985 and 1986 before contributing as a substitute professor at Baruch College in 1986. After serving as a visiting professor for Cooper Union in New York City, he accepted a position at Saint John's University in Staten Island, New York, as an associate professor from 1986 to 1988. Dr. Vulakh has further found success as an associate professor in 1988 and then as a professor with Cooper Union since 1994.
To remain aware of burgeoning trends in the industry, Dr. Vulakh remains affiliated with the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematics Association of America, and the New York Academy of Sciences. An expert and respected voice in the industry, he authored such books as "Matrix Theory" and "Discreet Mathematics," which were published in 1974 and 1985, respectively. For his accomplishments in the field, Dr. Vulakh has been selected for inclusion Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who in the East.
