Earlier in his career, he was a certified public accountant with Dooyi Accounting Corporation from 1992 to 1994.
Mr. Kim first pursued an education with the Seoul National University College of Administration and Business, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business in 1992. He later traveled to the United States to continue his studies with the Emory University Law School, earning a Master of Laws in 2009. A graduate of the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea, he is a certified public accountant and he holds a higher civil service qualification.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Kim has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He has served on the advisory committee and the financial dispute settlement committee of the Financial Supervisory Service. He has also served on the vice chairman of Korea Academic Society of Accounting.
