FAIRFIELD, CA, August 07, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Reynotta Jahnke Hoberecht with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Hoberecht celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a career of excellence spanning over 40 years, Dr. Hoberecht is an expert in the field of education. She started teaching elementary school in 1961 at Galina, IL., followed by Porterville, Hanford/Lemore and Napa Valley school districts in California. She spent the majority of her professional journey with the Travis Unified School District in California, from 1971 until her retirement in 2003. Affiliated with Golden West Middle School for the first eleven years, she taught both English and remedial reading to eighth graders, as well as taught remedial reading and physical education at the high school level. The following 21 years were spent at Center Elementary School teaching 2nd and 3rd grade.

Alongside her primary responsibilities, she has had a hands-on approach in introducing students to science. In the 1970's, she led student field trips to dig up fossilized shark's teeth, led school assemblies on conservation and the planting of redwood tree saplings, completed training programs for teaching the gifted and introducing girls to math and science, lectured other classrooms on science programs and was awarded a grant for an ecosystem project for her 3rd grade classroom. She has also been an active member of the California Teachers Association and previously served the association as a secretary from 1967 to 1968 and a treasurer from 1994 to 1999.

Dr. Hoberecht has also been a lifelong volunteer for university sponsored research projects in the fields of archaeology, paleontology and environmental sciences. During her summer vacations, she has volunteered to work at over 50 projects throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Her biggest highlights were finding a fossilized primitive bird in Las Hoyas, Spain in 1992, and finding a human hair strand at an excavation in Montana in 1988 that was used to change the timeline of human habitation in North America during the last ice age. To this day she continues to volunteer at the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, South Dakota, as well as the UC Davis Botany Club.

Fascinated with anthropology from a very young age, Dr. Hoberecht first became interested in the field after finding flint artifacts in the field of her childhood farm. Inspired to explore further, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin in 1961. Pursuing further education at the University of California San Francisco, she obtained a Master of Arts in 1978 and, later, a Doctor of Education in 1998. Dr. Hoberecht considers her greatest mentor to be her late husband, Hal Hoberecht, who encouraged her to take the road less traveled and view every obstacle as a learning opportunity.

In light of all her accomplishments, Dr. Hoberecht has also been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Dr. Hoberecht has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
