LOS ANGELES, CA, August 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present William Tidd Walker with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Walker celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accrued over 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Walker was most recently the executive vice-president at Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards, Incorporated from 1969 to 1985. Prior to that position, he worked as a partner and a member of the executive committee for Lester, Ryons & Company in 1968. Mr. Walker began his career in 1952 at William R. Staats & Company, which later merged with Glore, Forgan & Company, in the positions of a stockbroker, a sales manager, syndicate partner and a senior vice president until exiting the company in 1968. Additionally, he served as a member of the NYSE American, formerly known as the American Stock Exchange, in 1981, as well as the chairman and the chief executive officer for Walker and Associates.
Prior to his professional journey, Mr. Walker pursued an education at Stanford University, completing coursework in 1950. Between 1949 and 1952, he completed service in the United States Air Force. He became involved in his profession because his father-in-law, Edward Frazier, who was a New York Stock Exchange member, invited Mr. Walker to register and become a stockbroker himself. Working on Wall Street for about 10 years was the most gratifying period of his career.
Outside of his immediate professional responsibilities, Mr. Walker is a valuable member of the Security Industry Association, to which he contributes as the director of the national syndicate committee. Furthermore, he provides his time and resources to the Pacific Exchange and the National Investment Banking Association. In 1973, he performed the duties of the president of the Municipal Bond Club in Los Angeles.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. Walker has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
