Dr. Aroloye Numbere has found success as a lecturer with the University of Port Harcourt since 2008.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Numbere has found success as a lecturer with the University of Port Harcourt since 2008. In this role, he has taught waste management, environmental impact assessment, biotechnology, ecology, and biology. Likewise, he has served as the coordinator of the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology seminar series since 2016 and in community service since 2014. Prior to obtaining these positions, he excelled as a lecturer with Polytechnic from 2006 to 2008, a research and a teaching assistant with Saint Louis University between 2009 and 2013, and an instructor of environmental safety with the University of Science and Technology from 2003 until 2006. Earlier in his career, Dr. Numbere was a teacher with various high schools and college from 1997 to 2003.
Dr. Numbere first pursued an education with the University of Port Harcourt, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 1996. He then joined the University of Science and Technology, from which he earned diplomas in computer studies and safety and security management in 2003, as well as a Master of Science in environmental management in 2006. He continued his studies with Saint Louis University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in biology in 2014. Dr. Numbere is certified in university teaching skills by Saint Louis University and he has been certified as an Oracle professional by Oracle University.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Dr. Numbere has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the International Society for Mangrove Ecology, the Coastal Education and Research Foundation, the Ecological Society of America, and the Missouri Botanical Garden. A contributor of articles to a number of professional journals, he has been recognized throughout his career for his myriad of accomplishments. Dr. Numbere was given the Edward L. and Rhelda Marby Morgan PhD Endowed Book Funds Scholarship, the Educational Trust Fund Scholarship, and the Niger Delta Development Commission Scholarship. He was additionally granted a GSA-Brennan Summer Fellowship and Saint Louis University awarded him the Certificate of achievement in Research Excellence. Dr. Numbere received an award for the world championship in environmental sciences (precipitation) and induction as a fellow directorate of environmental science in 2018. His research article was the winner among 5897 nominations from 86 countries.
