With nearly 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Redd held a private practice in Riverside and San Bernardino, California, from 1987 to 2012. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was deputy city attorney for the city of Anaheim, California, from 1981 to 1987 and an associate with Kinkle, Rodiger & Spriggs from 1979 to 1981. Earlier in his career, he was a senior staff attorney with Hartford Insurance from 1976 to 1979 and in private practice in Cottonwood, California, from 1973 to 1976.
Mr. Redd pursued an education with St. Joseph's College, where he obtained an Associate of Arts in 1961. He then joined the University of San Francisco, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1963. He subsequently received a Master of Arts from the University of California Berkeley in 1966. He later earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Western State University in 1972. He has been admitted to practice law in the state of California, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Redd has been an active member of his community. A United States Army serviceman from 1955 to 1956, he was a candidate for the California State Assembly and currently serves as a counseling attorney for Latino Lawyers since 1985. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the ninth edition of Who's Who in American Law in 1996.
Married to his wife Mary Jean Redd since 1973, Mr. Redd has two children, Michael and Melissa, and six grandchildren: Sierra, Jayden, Luke, Genevieve, Teegan and Kenadi. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, swimming, engaging with his local Roman Catholic church and performing civic organizational work.
