GIG HARBOR, WA, August 27, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Juliette Cevola Becker, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Becker celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Juliette Becker's artistic background is multifaceted. Her painting career spans five decades. She studied under the tutelage of Zelenka and George Buresch, world-renowned Czechoslovakian artists and restorers. She was classically trained in the oil medium by them for 20 years. She also studied under Tom Browning, Painting the Light, at the Scottsdale Artists School.
Prior to her pursuit of painting, Juliette trained in classical piano for 12 years. She also trained and performed as an opera and light opera singer under the direction of John Ellis of the Burbank Civic Light Opera Chorale and Chorus, Roger Wagner of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and Maestro Gaston Usigli of the San Francisco Tivoli Opera.
Juliette never took a breather from these endeavors even as she raised her five children. She would take night classes and paint at night when her children were asleep so that she could spend quality time raising them. After they were raised, she decided to go back to school and complete the degree she had started before her children were born.
The degree was in Music. However, Juliette decided to explore another avenue that was important to her, and that was human behavior. She completed her B.A in Psychology, Masters in Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in a few short years. She holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She recently retired from a private practice that she shared with her husband Vance, a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist. Earlier in her career, she worked as a therapist for Villa Park Psychological Services in California from 1985 to 1988.
While in private practice in California, her home state, Dr. Becker wrote and recorded interactive stress management CDs titled Postcards From Your MindsEye. These CDs have been widely received as a tool to reduce stress and anxiety.
Taking this process one step further, she created Transcendent Art™, which combines her original paintings accompanied by audio specific to each painting. The audio acts as a guided tour through and beyond the painting to that which is not visible on the canvas but is in the imagination. Transcendence to a state of well being is the ultimate goal.
Dr. Becker is featured in Artist's Block Cured a Walter Foster book by Linda Krall and Amy Runyen.
Now happily relocated in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington, Juliette is currently painting and exploring new avenues of creativity. While her first love will always be oil painting, she also creates in watercolors, pastels and acrylics in her light and airy home studio.
An exceptional Marquis listee, Dr. Becker has been selected for inclusion in editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, opera, classical piano, interior design, writing and gardening.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Dr. Becker has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
