The highlight of her career is any time she can inspire another person with her story and showing him/her that it is never too late to take action in one's life.
OTTUMWA, IA, August 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Mary Baird Krafka with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Krafka celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accrued 25 years of experience in the field, Ms. Krafka has excelled as a lawyer operating out of a private practice in Ottumwa, Iowa, since 1994. She is a member of the Iowa Bar Association and the Wapello County Bar Association. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Krafka is a current member of the American Association of University Women and P.E.O., a Philanthropic & Educational Organization. Ms. Krafka is a life-long member of First Lutheran Church, Ottumwa.
While her four children were growing up, Ms. Krafka returned to school. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Indian Hills Community College in 1987, and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Human Relations from William Penn University, formerly known as William Penn College, in 1990, after which she entered Law School. She received her Juris Doctor in 1993 at the University of Iowa College of Law. Ms. Krafka was subsequently admitted to the practice of law by the Iowa Supreme Court in June, 1993.
Returning to Ottumwa after completing her legal education, she worked for a year as a volunteer attorney for Legal Services Corp. before opening her private practice, which is currently in its 25th year.
Ms. Krafka considers pursuing her law degree while two of her and her husband's four children were still in college (her older two having received their degrees in 1986 and 1987), and receiving her Juris Doctor at age 51, to be among her greatest achievements. Passionate in her work, the highlight of her career is any time she can inspire another person with her story and showing him/her that it is never too late to take action in one's life. Ms. Krafka has additionally been celebrated in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
