Dr. Li immigrated to the United States in 1985. Prior to becoming an esteemed engineer, he pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering at the Hebei University of Science and Technology, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Northeastern University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Li remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. He 1s a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Notably, Dr. Li founded three technology companies in the United States and has been awarded a number of grants from United States Government agencies. Likewise, he invented technologies for speaker authentication, fast training algorithms for machine learning, accurate machine translations for artificial intelligence, circular microphone array for Internet of Things, auditory transform for signal processing, and user configurable three-dimensional music. In light of these and other achievements, Dr. Li has received a number of awards and accolades throughout his career. He won the Innovations Design and Engineering Award from CES in 2011, the Best Consumer Technology/Electronic Company Award from the New Jersey Technology Council in 2006, the Excellent Paper Award in 1983, and the Academy of Achievement Award from Beijing City in 1985. Dr. Li has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in America.
