He is currently an associate optometrist at Southern California Permanente Medical Group, having formerly been an associate optometrist at the Antelope Mall Vision Center in Palmdale from 1995 to 1999. Previously, Dr. Ferreri operated out of a private practice in Long Beach between 1993 and 2000. He began his career as an extern for the Center for Partially Sighted in 1992. Furthermore, he has excelled in the additional positions of a color vision analysis consultant and an optometry and orthoptics guest lecturer.
Prior to embarking on his career journey, Dr. Ferreri pursued an education at the University of California Irvine, earning a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences in 1989. He completed additional coursework at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University, from which he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry in 1993. He is a certified therapeutic optometrist in California and Texas. Additionally, Dr. Ferreri is certified in the treatment of glaucoma by the University of California Berkley and is training certified by the U.S. Army Externship Program.
Notably, Dr. Ferreri has been recognized with a number of honors and accolades for his work in the field. He has received a governor's letter of commendation for organizing coloring and essay contest for school children State of California, an Appreciation Certificate from the California Optometric Association, a Service Award from the Kaiser Permanente Optometry Department, and a Certificate of Recognition from the National Campaign for Tolerance, among others. Outside of his immediate professional responsibilities, Dr. Ferreri is a valuable member of the KPASCO Union, the Optometric Extension Program, and the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, an affiliate of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, and former treasurer of the Rio Hondo Optometric Society.
