Previously, she excelled as a librarian and translator from 1981 to 2006 for Murray State University, the University of Memphis, and North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences. Additionally, Ms. Von Budde served as a consultant for the Astronomy Laboratory at the University of Florida in 1980. During her time as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and beyond, she successfully owned her own translation agency.
Ms. Von Budde pursued an education at Norwich University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in German and two minors in English and French in 1977. She was consistently on the Dean's List at the aforementioned university in 1976 and 1977. Ms. Von Budde completed additional coursework at the State University of New York at Albany, from which she graduated with a Master of Library Science in 1978.
Currently at work on an autobiography and a book on personal experiences, Ms. Von Budde is heavily involved in publishing and editing as well. Between 2014 and 2018, she has authored articles and essays for online publication. These include, "The Connection Between the Gift of Suffering and the Gift of Life," "The Ugliness in This World," "Crazy Love," and "Little Tom and Prince Harry." Active in her field, Ms. Von Budde devotes her time and linguistic skills to promote a greater understanding between nations.
