Additionally, she has represented municipal defendants such as the City of New York, the New York City Housing Authority, the City of North Port and the Town of Greenburgh. Ms. Goetz also served as a member of the defense team that handled the World Trade Center litigation. Before obtaining her positions, Ms. Goetz gained valuable legal expertise as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department between 1982 and 1987 where she tried countless cases in the Bronx Family Court and the Tort Division.
In 1978, Ms. Goetz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from Fordham University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Subsequently, she received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 1982. Upon graduating, she was admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Goetz retains professional affiliations with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the N.Y. County Lawyers Association, and the Litigation Counsel of America.
