While a student, she was unsure of what career path she wanted to pursue. Under the direction of an enthusiastic professor, Ms. McBride realized her talent for math and logic, and thus decided that accounting was the best path forward.
From 1967 until 1987, Ms. McBride was an assistant controller at Hampton Court Knits of Los Angeles. She has been the owner and the manager of McBride & Associates Bookkeeping Service since 1978. Between 2008 and 2019, Ms. McBride was active with Wallace & Wallace Accountancy Corporation in addition to her individual practice.
