After accruing 35 years' practiced experience, Mr. Sifton retired from his role as editor with PDR Publications. In the 1960s, when he first began in journalism, he joined the New York State Education Department as an editor for Inside Education. Throughout his career, he has served in a number of editorial roles for Medical Economics, Drug Topics, Current Prescribing and RN Magazine. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, he affiliated himself with the American Business Press, where he served as chairman of the Editorial Committee from 1975 until 1976.
Prior to joining the New York State Education Department, Mr. Sifton earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College and a Master of Arts from the prestigious Stanford University. Utilizing his industry expertise, he founded "Physicians' Desk Reference on CD-ROM," "PDR's Drug Interactions and Side Effects" and many other PDR guides regarding natural medicines, nutrition, nutritional supplements, biological and chemical warfare response, over-the-counter drugs and women's health. For his excellence in the field, he earned a grant through the Ford Foundation. Additionally, he has been featured in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the East. Looking forward, Mr. Sifton intends to continue enjoying his retirement.
