THORNTON, CO, September 30, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christy Crook has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With more than 20 years of experience to her credit, Christy Crook has excelled as the president of Phoenix Masonry, Incorporated since 2010. In addition to this position, she has found success with her advocacy work on the board of directors for Transportation and Construction Girls, a cause supported by the HOYA Foundation that aims to provide opportunities for women in the field of construction through networking events, scholarships, and providing resources through their website, constructiongirl.org. Prior to this appointment, she worked as an account executive with the Abacus Apparel Group from 2002 to 2004. Previously, Ms. Crook began her career as the director of business development with Metro Masonry Incorporated from 1998 to 2007.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Crook pursued an education at Red Rocks Community College, earning an Associate of Science in 1998. She continued her academic efforts with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and business management in 2002 at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Following these accomplishments, Ms. Crook concluded her studies at the University of Denver in 2007, graduating with an International Master of Business Administration in 2007.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Crook has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She notably contributed to the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute. Furthermore, Ms. Crook remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, including the American Subcontractors Association and the American General Contractors Association.
Initially inspired by her father, a Mason contractor for whom she had worked upon receiving her driver's license, Ms. Crook is proud to have evolved from running errands to becoming a business owner, and has since hired her father out of retirement to continue mentoring and assisting her in her present post. She attributes her success to her tenacity, her positive outlook, her outgoing personality, and her lack of fear regarding the necessary risks of her business, as these skills allow her to be confident knowing she can achieve anything and establish meaningful relationships with her clients. Looking toward the future, Ms. Crook hopes to significantly increase her workforce, work on higher profile projects, and conduct more community outreach for young women in her region.
