Backed by decades of practiced expertise in law, Ms. Voce is chair of international tax at Greenberg Traurig LLP, with which she began in 2003. As an experienced corporate and international tax attorney, she handles inbound and outbound tax planning for U.S. and foreign corporations, as well as U.S. federal taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies, funds, and joint ventures. She likewise oversees federal tax aspects of cross-border corporate mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, securities offerings, and international projects finance. Earlier in her career, she worked for Breed, Abbott & Morgan as an associate, and then partner, between 1969 and 1993. Over the years, Ms. Voce also gained valuable expertise as an attorney with Coudert Brothers LLP.
Before obtaining her first position with Breed, Abbott & Morgan, Ms. Voce earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1966, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Virginia in 1969. Subsequently, she received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She was licensed to practice in New York in 1970 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Tax Court. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Association, and a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She is also a member of the Tax Cub and is on the board of the International Tax Institute.
Due to her outstanding efforts over the course of her career, Ms. Voce has been listed in several volumes of The Legal 500 United States through which she was recognized for her expertise in international law, Super Lawyers Magazine as a New York Metro Super Lawyer between 2006 and 2018, and as a Top 50 Female Attorneys in the New York Metropolitan Area. Dedicated to professional excellence, she has also been honored by Euromoney with the Legal Media Group's America's Women in Business Law Awards Best in Tax in 2014 and 2015, the Expert Guides: Women in Business Law's "Guide to the World's Leading Women in Business Law" in 2014 and 2017, and Expert Guides Best of the Best Award in 2019. Professional publications and organizations such as Who's Who in American Law, The Best Lawyers in America, and Martindale-Hubbell have also honored her for excellence in law. In the coming years, Ms. Voce anticipates retiring. After practicing law for more than 50 years, she is ready to look back on her legacy.
