He then completed four years as a captain in the U.S. Air Force between 1972 and 1976. Mr. Stone has been admitted to the Washington State Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar, the Eastern District of the U.S. District Court of Washington, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals and the U.S. District Court of Idaho.
The president of Firesafe Spokane, Mr. Stone has served on the board of directors and as the vice president of the Spokane Valley Baseball League. He was a member of the Editorial Board of the Idaho Law Review For his service in the military, he received a Decorated Air Force Commendation Medal. He also accepted a General Dynamics U.S. Air Force ROTC Award from the University of Idaho in 1969 and a McLean Scholarship Award in 1969. As a testament to his success as an attorney, he has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in 2009 and among Washington Law's Ten Winningest Trial Lawyers in 1991. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Stone has been featured in the fourth and 13th editions of Who's Who in American Law.
