Scott Sanger has been named a Top Lawyer in New Mexico since 2015
TAOS, NM, October 21, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Scott Sanger has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Backed by more than 45 years of practiced industry experience, Mr. Sanger served as a Managing Member of the Taos Attorney, LLC, where he began in 1980. In his position, he specializes in business, commercial and residential real estate and estate planning law. At the inception of his career, he gained valuable expertise with Altman, Kurlander & Weiss, where he worked as an associate for one year. Over the length of his career, he also worked as an associate with Newman, Hess and Stahl and then Newman, Stahl & Shadur, and from 1980-1991 as General Partner of Taos Inn Associates. In a career filled with highlights, he is especially proud of Co-Authoring the Ordinance creating the Town of Taos, New Mexico Historic District, writing the first Affordable Housing Ordinance Approved by the State of New Mexico, and putting together a new Hospital for the Taos Community.
An expert in his field, Mr. Sanger holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northwestern University. He was subsequently admitted to practice law in Illinois and New Mexico, as well as before the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. To remain abreast of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the Taos County, New Mexico and American Bar Associations. Whenever he is not working, he has contributed his time to his community through the Taos County Economic Development Corporation.
In light of his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sanger won the Orion Award from the Mexico Heritage Preservation Alliance for writing the first "Dark Sky Ordinance" approved in the State of New Mexico, preventing upward facing street lights negatively impacting otherwise clear night skies; a recognition in the Worldwide Registry of Executives and Professionals; a recognition in Continental Who's Who and featured in Who's Who in Finance and Industry; Who's Who in the West; Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in the World.
Mr. Sanger was presented with a Warrior's Robe by U.S. Senator, Tom Udall and New Mexico State Senator Robert ("Bobby") Gonzales and Taos Mayor, Darren Cordova for his efforts on behalf of Taos County Economic Development Corporation, and has been named an Honorary Member of Taos Pueblo for contribution of work to the Greater Taos community.
