Prior to establishing his own firm, he worked as a senior scientist at the Nichols Research Corporation from 1988 to 1992, and with Teledyne Brown Engineering from 1986 to 1988. Dr. Bevilacqua was previously active as a radar consultant with General Dynamics from 1985 to 1986, a systems engineer with Bell Helicopter from 1983 to 1985, and a program manager with ICSD Corporation from 1981 to 1982.
Moreover, Dr. Bevilacqua served as an electrooptical engineer with Martin Marietta Corporation from 1981 to 1982. He further held the posts of an engineer and a programmer with Vought Corporation from 1979 to 1981. Dr. Bevilacqua began his career as a research associate with the Center for Positron Studies from 1976 to 1979.
Dr. Bevilacqua pursued an education at the University of Texas, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Science in physics and mathematics in 1978. He continued his studies with the aforementioned school, graduating with a Master of Science in solid state physics in 1984. Certified as a facility security officer, Dr. Bevilacqua concluded his academic efforts at Grand Canyon University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in cognitive psychology in 2017.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bevilacqua has been celebrated for his exemplary contributions to his field. He has been a notable recipient of the Tibbetts Award. Likewise, Dr. Bevilacqua was recognized as the runner-up for Entrepreneur of the Year and Small Business of the Year in the state of Alabama.
