Currently a special counsel with Hinman, Howard & Kattell (HH&K) in Boynton Beach since 1989, he formerly served as a partner for nearly two decades. HH&K is notably a full-service law firm with 14 locations throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Mr. Joh formerly came from Cypress Trust Company where he was the President and Chief Executive Officer. The organization specialized in offering sophisticated and highly personalized wealth-transfer strategies to high net worth individuals.
Involved with a broad range of charitable and civic organizations, Mr. Joh chaired the American Red Cross Eastern Operations Advisory Council, served as a Florida State Chair in Orlando and a member of the National Board of Governors. He is also a past president of the New York State Young Republican Club Association and a former Trustee of the Albany Law School. Mr. Joh continues to serve as a Trustee for the Gertrude E. Skelly Charitable Foundation since 1991 and the Florida Institute of Technology since 1998.
An alumnus of Dartmouth College, Mr. Joh received a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He subsequently acquired a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Albany Law School of Union University in 1971. Mr. Joh has been admitted to the New York and Florida Bar Associations.
Mr. Joh is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the Broome County Bar Association, the South Palm Beach County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and Tax Sections of the American Bar Association. He is an Honorary Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society. Some of Mr. Joh's avocational memberships include the Country Club of Florida and the East Coast Football Officials Association, as well as the Country Club of Florida Scholarship Foundation, where he serves as a board member.
Honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award from Albany Law School in 1995 and a Steward's Award from Dartmouth College, Mr. Joh also received an Outstanding Football Official Award from Florida High School Athletic Association. He received a 65-Year Volunteer Award in 2018 and a Leadership Award in 1995 from the American Red Cross and The Harriman Award for Exceptional Leadership in 2001 from the American National Red Cross. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Joh has been featured in the Ninth edition of Who's Who in American Law.
