For nearly one decade, Dr. Lee has excelled in the field of periodontics. He pursued a residency within the Department of Periodontology and Dentistry at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Subsequently, he began as a fellow in the Dankook University College of Dentistry Jukjeon Dental Hospital. He continues to work as a clinical assistant professor to this day.
An expert in his field, Dr. Lee holds a Master of Science which he earned in 2010 (Dental Sciences, Dental School, Chonnam National University). He is currently in the doctoral program within the Department of Periodontology in the College of Dentistry, Dental Research Institute of Seoul National University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has contributed his extensive knowledge to a number of articles in professional journals, including, the Journal of Periodontal & Implant Science, Journal of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology, and the Journal of Periodontology. Alongside other scholars, he has written such articles as "Adjunctive hyperbaric oxygen therapy for irradiated rat calvarial defects.", "Delayed bone healing by collagen membrane in early phase of four weeks." and "Leukocyte‐and platelet-rich fibrin is an effective membrane for lateral ridge augmentation: an in vivo study using a canine model with surgically-created defects."

In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Lee maintains affiliation with the Korean Academy of Periodontology, the Korean Dental Association and The Korean Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Implantology. For excellence in the field, he has been recognized with 'Participation prize of oral presentation for research' and 'Excellence Award of research poster' through the General Session of the Korean Academy of Periodontology in 2012 and 2015. He stands out not only in the academic field, but also in the health field. Recently, he was in the top five in the fitness model competitions on the '2018 FITNESS-STAR' and also won a prize '2019 FITNESS-STAR' in Korea. In the near future, Dr. Lee intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
