She additionally found success as a police officer for Media Borough from 1984 until 2006. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Miller is incredibly proud of her more than 20 years of service in the police force, during which time she passed on her wealth of knowledge to the next generation in criminal justice.
After earning a diploma from Sun Valley High School in 1972, Ms. Miller earned a master's degree in criminal justice from West Chester University in 2000. She also received her certification as a Senior Fitness Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. During her spare time, she has contributed to her community through Friends of the Fallen, Stockings for Soldiers and their K-9 companions and the ASPCA. Additionally, Ms. Miller has been honored for her efforts in the nutrition and criminal justice fields, earning a Distinguished Humanitarian Award in 2017.
