Now retired as a general practice attorney, Mr. Brosseau was active in the field of law in North Dakota for more than 30 successful years. Between 1974 and 2003, he served as the city attorney for the city of Drayton and the city of Neche. Mr. Brosseau previously worked for First Bank of North Dakota as an assistant trust officer for three years.
During his career, Mr. Brosseau held numerous prestigious positions, including as a legal advisor for the Drayton Public School District No. 19 for three decades. He also held the roles of an attorney, the corporate secretary and a member of the board of directors for the Bank of Minto in North Dakota. An attorney, corporate secretary, and a member of the board of directors for Drayton State Bank, Mr. Brosseau has participated on the board of directors for Drayton Insurance Agency, Koda Bank and Koda Insurance.
Invested in his community, Mr. Brosseau has excelled as the president of the board of trustees for Saint Edward's Catholic Church in Drayton. He also held the position of a trustee of Christian Unity Hospital in Grafton, North Dakota, as well as both a member of the board of directors and the president of Drayton Improvements, Inc. Moreover, Mr. Brosseau has maintained his involvement as a member of the board of the Drayton Community Hospital/Drayton Medical Services since 1976.
Outside of his former commitments in law, Mr. Brosseau is an accomplished musician. Self-taught in piano, he began learning how to play at a very early age. Introduced to music by his family, who had a family dance band, he began playing in the band at age 12, and during his college years played professionally both as a soloist and in a ragtime duo. Mr. Brosseau performed on the piano as a soloist in the North Dakota Medora Musical in 1989. Years later, in 2014, his piano selection was chosen for Ken Burn's production of PBS's "The Roosevelts." Mr. Brosseau has produced four piano CDs of stride, ragtime, jazz and blues music.
Mr. Brosseau initially pursued an education at the University of North Dakota, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration in 1967. He subsequently graduated from the aforementioned university with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1970. Mr. Brosseau was admitted to practice law by the State Bar Association of North Dakota and the Minnesota State Bar Associations.
Mr. Brosseau is a member of the American Bar Association and the Northeast Judicial District Bar Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, he has been featured in Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
