Mr. Yedlik is renowned as a retired radio engineer who began his career in Colorado in 1966 as an announcer, an engineer and a newsman for Station KTGM-FM in Denver and Station KDKO in Littleton and Station KIIX in Fort Collins. Accepting a position with Station KSPN-FM in Aspen in 1970, he headed the station as the chief engineer and provided his expertise as a program consultant. Mr. Yedlik later held several other positions at various other stations including Radio Afghanistan before retiring from the field in 1978.
Transitioning into acting and directing, Mr. Yedlik worked for the Leadville Civic Theatre Company and the Crystal Comedy Company in Leadville, Colorado. He also performed in and directed multiple plays with the Act I Theatre Group in Vinton and, in 1993, became a movie extra. Today, he found success on a part-time basis as a substitute teacher at a local secondary school. A master gardener, Mr. Yedlik has since authored several "how-to" series on agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and other similar topics.
Born and raised on a dairy and livestock farm near a town called Wilton, Mr. Yedlik learned a lot about agriculture from the hands of his father. After acquiring a doctorate degree in metaphysical science in 1976, he returned to academia years later where he received a Bachelor of Science in professional agriculture in 1998 and a Master of Science in agriculture in 2001. He also completed various coursework at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, Iowa State University, the Permaculture Institute in Australia and several other institutions. Furthermore, Mr. Yedlik is licensed as a radiotelephone and ham radio operator through the Federal Communications Commission.
A community leader, Mr. Yedlik is a county fair judge, a former member of the Leadville Boom Days Festival Committee and a member of the Friends of 4H Committee. He notably served in the Peace Corps in Afghanistan. He remains affiliated with the Clerk-Taylor Township, Benton County, IA, since 1996 and is active as a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Knights Templar and the Royal Arch Masons. In 1987, he was the recipient of a Beyond War Association Award in Palo Alto, California. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Yedlik has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the Media and Communication and Who's Who in the World.
