Drawing upon more than 65 years of excellence in investment banking, Mr. Tengdin has held the title of chairman emeritus with the Allison-Williams Company since 2018, where he commenced his career in 1952. Over the course of his profession, he held a plethora of roles with the company, including assistant vice president, vice president, director, executive vice president, president and chairman. Additionally, he gained valuable expertise through the U.S. Ski Association as a former member of the USSA Alpine Competition Committee, retired Alpine Official (T.D.), and former member of Edina Public Schools special study group, and the American Trustee Life Insurance Company as a former director. Prior to entering the field, he served with the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1950.
An expert in his field, Mr. Tengdin has held a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College since 1952 and was afforded the opportunity to study at the Institute of Investment Banking at the Wharton School in 1962. A former board member of the American Swedish Institute, he has maintained affiliation with the Interlachen Country Club, the Minneapolis Club and the Tanoan Country Club of Albuquerque, NM.
In light of his professional accomplishments, Mr. Tengdin was named a Distinguished Alumni by St. Olaf College in 2005 and was selected for inclusion in the 24th edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, published in 1985. A proponent of skiing, he has been several times national champion in his age group (Masters) in the U.S., Canada, Norway and Sweden and runner up in the World Criterium in Andorra.
Married with three sons, Mr. Tengdin is a native of Kansas City, MO, and was born to parents Elmer Theodore and Agnes Elizabeth Tengdin in 1930. He enjoys playing tennis, skiing, golfing, fishing, reading and traveling in his spare time.
