As a college student, Mr. Simon was active as an athlete on scholarship and obtained a devastating injury, which changed the course of his life. In order to remain in school, he joined the debate team and was inspired to pursue a career in law. Upon graduating from the University of Miami School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, Mr. Simon has excelled in private practice as the founder and lead trial counsel of the Simon Trial Firm.
A certified instructor and lecturer on personal injury trial practice, Mr. Simon represents victims of serious and catastrophic injuries resulting from slip and fall accidents, automobile accidents, negligent security, maritime accidents, products liability and more. Drawing on more than 40 years of experience, he has obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settled many others that have garnered him significant news and media recognition, including making an appearance on NBC Nightly News. In a career filled with highlights, Mr. Simon was notably appointed to, and served on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee of the Florida Bar.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Simon was admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Judicial Districts. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, through which he was honored for excellence in personal injury law for "displaying extra dedication to the civil justice system," the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Dade County Bar Association, and the American Bar Associations. Dedicated to community service, Mr. Simon is also a founding member of the Civil Justice Foundation and a founding sponsor of the National Campaign for Tolerance.
Mr. Simon has been recognized by US News and World Report, and Time Magazine Lawyers of Distinction Recognizing Excellence in Personal Injury Law, and was accepted as a member of the Presidential Who's Who Among Business and Professional Achievers.
