The American Concrete Pumping Association recognized Tyler Wood with a national award, Pump Operator of the Year in 2015.
AURORA, CO, November 27, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mr. Wood has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Hard work and dedication are attributes that run deep within Mr. Wood's family. His father demonstrated the significance of loyalty to his sons with over forty-five years of experience in the concrete industry, with over thirty of those years devoted to one company in particular. When Mr. Wood and his brother were of age, they too began their career in the concrete business alongside their father.
Mr. Wood has been trained as a small engine motorcycle mechanic. However, he experienced his greatest success in his father's footsteps at McClure Concrete. Joining the organization in 2002, he was promoted to the post of a fleet manager after fifteen years of exemplary service. Mr. Wood has flourished in this role in the years since.
Mr. Wood also holds certifications with the American Concrete Pumping Association. He has completed the ten hour certification for onsite job safety administration with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Mr. Wood is a member of the National Home Builders Association, the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, and the American Concrete Pumping Association, which recognized him with a national award, Pump Operator of the Year in 2015.
Mr. Wood hopes that the characteristics ascribed to his father's teachings will someday guide his own children to great success of their own. He considers his children the hallmark of his success, and attributes his own clarity and purpose to that which he has learned while raising them. Mr. Wood hopes to imbue in his children a sense of right and wrong, and the importance of clear principles and hard work.
While he acknowledges that there is always more to learn in his current role, Mr. Wood aspires to the role of operations manager in the near future. As second-in-command at McClure Concrete, he feels that this position would provide him with additional understanding in the industry, and help guide him toward even more meaningful decision-making and leadership insights. Mr. Wood's ultimate goal for the long term is to own his own concrete business, which would truly mark the pinnacle of his service to the industry.
