Mr. Beason is a financial advisor with more than 55 years of experience in his field. He attended Vanderbilt University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1961, and joined the training program at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company. Mr. Beason was awarded an honorary doctorate from LaGrange College in 2016.
From 1961 to 1983, Mr. Beason found success with the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, with which he advanced to serve as the head of the bank's public finance department during the 1970s. During this time, the governments of New York City and New York State had lost access to credit markets, and Mr. Beason names his time working under these conditions as an invaluable learning experience and career highlight. Between 1983 and 1985, he served with the First Boston Corporation, before joining Printon Kane & Company of Short Hills, New Jersey, from 1985 until 1988. Mr. Beason was the chief investment officer of the First Commerce Corporation of New Orleans from 1988 to 1994. Between 1995 and 1998, he served as a member of the staff on the House Banking Committee in Washington, D.C., before re-entering the private sector as a financial advisor for Robinson Humphrey and Successor Companies from 1999 to 2014. Mr. Beason has been a partner at Lakeview Capital Partners since 2014.
Mr. Beason is a former trustee of LaGrange College, Tulane Hospital, and the Overlook Hospital of Summit, New Jersey. He is a member of the LaGrange Rotary Club, and hopes to continue to use his professional expertise to help his community with a focus on education. Mr. Beason has been featured in several editions of Marquis Who's Who in America, beginning in 1988.
