The owner of Whiting Dental Arts since 2017, Dr. Faynzilberg previously obtained a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry in 2013 from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. A native of Ukraine, he has been recognized as a Top Cosmetic Dentist by Boston Magazine in 2018 and 2019. Dr. Faynzilberg was also celebrated for Outstanding Patient and Practice Management from Boston University in 2013.
Dr. Faynzilberg became interested in dentistry at the age of 11 when he joined two of his uncles, Simon Faynzilberg and Paul Shteynberg, in their dental laboratory where he helped create dental restoration for patients. He worked in the laboratory throughout high school and developed a passion for this unique facet of medicine, taking exemplary pride in his dental work. Dr. Faynzilberg and his family immigrated to the United States in 1991 right before the Soviet Union began to break apart, at which point he made it his goal to continue to pursue dentistry in his new home country.
Prior to spearheading his practice, Dr. Faynzilberg served as an associate at North Shore Dental and operated out of a private practice in Boston from 2002 to 2017. Since establishing Whiting Dental Arts with his business partner, Dr. Sidney Whiting, as a local dentist, he has aimed to create lifelong relationships with his patients and their families and works to ensure that they receive treatments in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Whiting Dental Arts specializes in performing emergency dentist services that include bonding, root canals, crowns and bridges.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Faynzilberg has found success as a clinical professor in the department of general dentistry at Boston University since 2013. He has further been active as a lecturer at Sirona and Straumann Implants. A member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society, he has participated in four mission trips to Jamaica in an effort to spread awareness on dental hygiene. Moreover, Dr. Faynzilberg has excelled as a volunteer dentist for children at Boston University since 2013.
