Bonnie McVoy Verwys is a pioneer in the field.
HOLLAND, MI, December 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Bonnie McVoy Verwys with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Verwys celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With over 35 years of experience in the bed and breakfast industry, Ms. Verwys is a pioneer in the field. She has been successfully operating Bonnie's Parsonage 1908 since 1984. Known as the most welcoming bed and breakfast in the area, Bonnie purchased and restored the church parsonage and hand-selected the used furniture, antiques and other art that appoint each bedroom (The Parson's Room, Kimberly's Room and Brian's Room) as well as The Sitting Rooms and Garden Patio. Overnights guests delight in her famous baked pancakes for breakfast and Bonnie's Parsonage 1908 Famous Baked Pancake Mix will soon be available online through the Shaker Messenger. The proceeds were donated to Gilda's Club to benefit ovarian cancer research.
Holding two trademarks for her bed and breakfast flags, Ms. Verwys was featured on the cover of Grand Rapids Magazine in 1988. She has previously appeared in Who's Who in Business and Finance and Who's Who of American Women. She attended Grand Valley College in Allendale, Michigan.
She served as the supervisor and program coordinator at Kandu Industries Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that provides opportunities to people with disabilities or disadvantages, from 1970 to 1981. Ms. Verwys was a member of the National Association for Female Executives, the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs, the Inventors Council of Mid-Michigan and the Professional Women's Network. The proud mother of four children (two deceased), Ms. Verwys enjoys sailing, tennis and crafts in her free time. She also spends time gardening and won two awards thanks to her green thumb.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Ms. Verwys has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
