FRIPP ISLAND, SC, December 18, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present James Francis Wolbrink with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Wolbrink celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Seeking a vocation that would be both interesting and fulfilling, Mr. Wolbrink began his professional journey as a technical writer and editor for the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory in Livermore, California, in 1966, remaining in this role for one year before serving as an editor and the head of engineering publications at the Engineering Research Institute at Iowa State University (ISU) in Ames from 1967 to 1970. He then served as the managing director of education and publications at the American Institute of Industrial Engineers in Norcross, Georgia, from 1971 until 1983 and a commodities broker for Clayton Brokerage between 1983 and 1985. Presently, Mr. Wolbrink has been the president of Wolbrink Properties since 1983.
Prior to the start of his career, Mr. Wolbrink pursued a formal education at ISU, earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1966 and completing postgraduate coursework between 1968 and 1972. He is also a certified association executive. Involved in his local community, Mr. Wolbrink was the president of the Friends of Caroline Hospice in Beaufort from 2013 to 2017. Likewise, he was previously the president of the Georgia District of Optimist International, as well as the governor from 1994 until 1995. In addition, he has maintained involvement with Delta Chi and was the former president of the Sandy Springs Optimist Club between 1989 and 1990.
In light of his myriad achievements, Mr. Wolbrink was named an Outstanding Young Alumnus by his alma mater in 1977. Since then, he was selected for inclusion in the 44th through 60th editions of Who's Who in America. Looking back at his long career, the mentors who have influenced Mr. Wolbrink the most were various other real estate investors and his fellow congregants at his local church. He is currently married to his loving wife of more than 50 years, Karen Ann Dunkerly.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. Wolbrink has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
