An experienced health care administrator with years of expertise in operations management, budgeting, strategic planning, and organizational development, Mr. Maduro excels as the environmental services (EVS) director of Harris Health Systems, where he began in 2010 as an EVS operations manager. Earlier, he gained valuable expertise in program management in his work with Marcy Building Systems and as the EVS superintendent for MD Anderson Cancer Center. Mr. Maduro's inaugural roles in the field were those of an EVS district manager of AME Services between 1998 and 2004, and a behavioral science e-specialist in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1992.
Before entering the U.S. Army, Mr. Maduro earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Southern Arkansas University in 1980. More recently, in 2014, he completed a Master of Business Administration in project management through Columbia Southern University. A steadfast advocate in his community, Mr. Maduro contributes his time to the Psychology Club in Houston and to One Step Closer Animal Rescue. He is a disabled Army veteran.
For his outstanding work, Mr. Maduro was honored with the Operation Department of the Year Award through Harris Health Systems in 2016. Looking forward into the future, he intends to further develop his skills in the health care industry, and continue mentoring others in the field. In so doing, Mr. Maduro shall conduct himself by the credo he has always lived by; "no guts, no glory."
