Judy Jaeger is the recipient of the Edna Epperson Brinkman Award and the 2018 Georgia Rose Award

Ms. Jaeger is renowned as a retired educator and a communication specialist with more than 40 years of distinction in her profession. She realized early in her life the importance of having diverse skill sets, and resolved to learn a trade so that she would never be without an option to financially support herself and her family. Ms. Jaeger pursued an education at the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1972 and a Master of Arts in Mass Communications in 1975.
Ms. Jaeger began her career in the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross' Office of Public Relations. She was hired as supervisor of special services and Instructor for Miami University of Ohio before serving as an advertising assistant for Info Works of New Orleans from 1976 to 1977 and an advertising manager for Carolina Enterprises of Asheville, North Carolina, in 1978. She worked as a copywriter for Station WAAA in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, from 1979 to 1980. Moreover, Ms. Jaeger leveraged her skills as an advertising consultant based in Atlanta, Georgia, from 1982 to 1993.
In 1993, Ms. Jaeger joined the Georgia Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program of the Georgia Department of Human Resources, with which she remained until 1997, when she accepted the post of planner for the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. From 2003 to 2017, she found success as the emergency management program chair at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon, Georgia. Furthermore, Ms. Jaeger was responsible for developing the aforementioned school's Associate of Applied Science degree in emergency management.
Ms. Jaeger is a member of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, where she has held a variety of local and regional leadership roles. She is the recipient of the Edna Epperson Brinkman Award and the 2018 Georgia Rose Award. She was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Georgia Chapter, American Lung Association. Likewise, Ms. Jaeger is a former member of the Emergency Management Association of Georgia.
