Having retired from an eminent career in medicine in 2018, following more than 40 years in his field, Dr. Lipsius specialized in neurology. Aligned with Neurology Consultant, PA, he was also affiliated with several area hospitals including Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Virtua Health System, Cooper University Health System, Kennedy Health System, and the former Underwood Memorial Hospital now part of the Inspira Health System. He also participated as a neurologic consultant in a nation-wide extensive teleneurology practice, Specialists On Call, for 8 years, with close to 20 hospital staff appointments, obtaining 18 state medical licenses.
Dr. Lipsius received a Bachelor of Arts degree from State University of New York at Binghamton in 1968, and attended medical school at Health Sciences Medical Center, SUNY, in Brooklyn from 1968-1972. He completed a medical internship and residency from 1972-74, at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in NY, and then completed Neurology Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Bronx NY from 1974-77. From 1977-79, he was in neurologic practice with a large neurologic and neurosurgery group in Andover, Massachusetts. He then relocated in 1979 to his current location in Cherry Hill, NJ where he practiced with several other adult neurologists, performing EMG studies, interpreting carotid ultrasounds, EEG studies, and providing Botox treatments for vascular headache. He retired in December, 2018, after a fulfilling practice totaling over 41 years.
In order to remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Lipsius has been a member of the American Academy of Neurology, a professional society representing over 36,000 neurologists and neuroscientists throughout the country for more than 70 years. Recently honored in 2018 with a Physician's Recognition Award from Lordes Medical Associates, Dr. Lipsius is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been featured in the 54th edition of Who's Who in America.
