Supported by decades of practiced industry experience, Dr. Vivian Louise Berry Green serves as district administrator for the Okaloosa County School District.

Supported by decades of practiced industry experience, Dr. Green serves as district administrator for the Okaloosa County School District, where she became the first African American secondary principal since 1954. In the 1970s, she began in education as a reading teacher for the School District of Palm Beach County. Over the years, she gained valuable expertise through varying positions with Northwest Florida State College, Mary Esther Elementary School and W.C. Pryor Middle School as well. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Green is especially proud of helping her students achieve at a higher level.
A member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Dr. Green holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, a Master of Arts and Master of Education from the University of West Florida and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, she affiliates herself with the Okaloosa and Walton chapter of the Florida Association for the Education of Young Children and the Okaloosa County Administrator Association. She is also actively affiliated with the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Society and FAMU Alumni Association. During her spare time, she also gived back to the Okaloosa County Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Greater Fort Walton Beach Woman's Club, and the Okaloosa County Comprehensive Head Start Child Development, Inc. For her outstanding work, she earned a feature in Who's Who in American Education and inclusion into the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women Hall of Fame. Looking forward, Dr. Green intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career.
