WOONSOCKET, RI, December 26, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald Stubbs has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After serving as a teacher for more than 40 years, Mr. Stubbs retired from his role as a chemistry teacher and the science department chair for Ponaganset Regional High School, where he served from 1969 until 2000. Previously, he gained valuable expertise in similar positions for La Salle Military Academy and Bishop Bradley High School. He began his career as a teacher at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School between 1959 and 1961. Although his time as a teacher was filled with highlights, Mr. Stubbs is especially proud of pushing to get a laboratory in every single class for his high school's science program.

Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Stubbs earned a Bachelor of Arts from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Subsequently, he pursued postgraduate coursework at his alma mater, where he also obtained a Master of Science in microbiology in 1966. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Stubbs is affiliated with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

During his spare time, Mr. Stubbs contributes to his community through his local chapter of Knights of Columbus. Due to his professional accomplishments, he has been featured in numerous volumes of Who's Who Among Human Services Professionals, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in American Education. Looking toward the future, Mr. Stubbs intends to continue enjoying his retirement and contributing to Project 2061, a long-term initiative of the American Association for the Advancement of Science that aims to help all Americans become literate in science, mathematics and technology.
