Prior to forming his consulting business, Dr. Lipari in 1994 was a visiting Professor at the University of Lecce, Italy and a Consultant to the President of the National Center for Research and Development in Brindisi, Italy.
Dr. Lipari worked for IBM Corporation in 1977 as a senior manager, where he remained until 1993. He also worked for Xerox as a senior scientist from 1972 to 1977. Additionally, Dr. Lipari contributed for two years as a research scientist at the University of Illinois beginning in 1970. In 1976 Dr. Lipari was invited as a Visiting Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale in Lausanne, Switzerland, at the Max-Plank Institutes in Grenoble, France and in Stuttgart, Germany, and also at the DESY Research Center in Hamburg, Germany.
Since Dr. Lipari has worked as a consultant, he has had the opportunity to apply his knowledge at several universities both in the U.S. and in Europe, including at his alma mater, the University of Messina.
Dr. Lipari earned a Doctor of Philosophy in physics from Lehigh University in 1970. He has held the degree of Dottore in Fisica from the University of Messina in Italy since 1967. As a seasoned scientist, Dr. Lipari has contributed more than 150 articles to various peer reviewed, international physics journals and more than 5,000 citations. He has also published various articles in several newspapers.
An elected fellow of the American Physical Society, Dr. Lipari has likewise been an honorary member of the Culture Club in Ali' Terme, Italy, since 1997.
